    Percy..there is no need to troll.

    This is actually a fairly sensible reaction from Apple, as even though its not a flaw in their product like the signal issues, they have recognised how it could be twisted that way by the media, so are preparing for a possible backlash.

    At least this one will be easier to defend - 3rd party adaptors have a long history of damaging a wide range of products in all sorts or markets, so they could easily reach for that as a defence.

    Not a single scratch on my iP4, but then I don't have a rear case on it..isn't needed and totally ruins the look of it in my opinion!

    The thing is that given the phone requires a case to function as a phone for some people, and that apple themself said they can't manafacture enough bumpers its a bit different than the usual 3rd party pointless crap breaking stuff.

    Fair point fair point, the fact that apple were offering cases with backs as part of their free case program could look bad for them.

    Interesting how cases with backs have now all but vanished from the apple store...
