i may have to try ubuntu on my test machine about time i started learning how to use linux
I wonder if someone could port it to ARM devices
bet the guys at dropbox must be peeved. Basic package for both Ubuntu ONE and dropbox is the same but this basically gives you 60gig in Ubuntu ONE for the same price as 50gig on dropbox.
I took the plunge with Ubuntu a few months ago. Tried it a few times before and didn't really take to it, but after seeing 10.04 I installed it on my old laptop and as a dual boot on my main PC. 10.10 isn't a drastic change, but I'm looking forward to the Windows client of Ubuntu One, which should hopefully be arriving very soon. I don't think I'll ever get rid of Windows completely (GIMP still isn't anywhere near Photoshop. Same goes for Microsoft Office vs OpenOffice too) but it's certainly the one I use the most now.
If you've tried Ubuntu v9 or lower, or another Linux distro, give the latest version of Ubuntu a go. It's a piece of wee-wee to set up, and you know it must be good because all the beardy Linux fanboys are whinging about how it's not as good as it used to be, and they're concentrating too much on flash effects and everything
