An amazingly good example of how innovation can prosper - their games don't have any depth and are very buggy/poor quality on one hand..BUT they innovated with their business model for them, made them addictive and very very accessible..and now are reaping the rewards.

Hats off to them..I wish I had thought of it first. I suspect they will survive into the future too, the market for this kind of product can only grow, and especially if they improve the quality of their offerings and continue to innovate they will do well

Their innovative business model is to rip off other games pixel-for-pixel. Their CEO has said, on record, "**** innovation"

The only "original" Zynga game is Frontierville, which is an "original" mix of other Zynga games.

Re: News - Zynga’s stock value passes EA’s

Obviously their games have none - but as I said their business model of the "get you hooked for free then convince you to spend lots on virtual goods" is innovative in that marketplace - doing it via facebook shows the world what you are doing and crucially your friends, and the fact that they do it too pushes you to join in..making them more and more money.

OK so similar concepts have been used before with neopets and the like but not to this level with this kind of social interraction.
