Ahhh, and now comes the website bannings.
Re: News - Websites rally to beat police block on student protest advice blog
This is a very dangerous precedent and I don't like it one bit. The sites aren't doing anything illegal, just offering advice. I see this as a serious infringement on civil liberties that everyone (regardless of what you think of the protest) who believes in freedom of speech should be in uproar about!!
Re: News - Websites rally to beat police block on student protest advice blog
I'm all uproar'd out - but where do you draw a line on sites giving advice on how someone should conceal themselves from the authorities ? what if it were an <insert emotive criminal here> ?

So, can we expect hexus to be shut down soon since quite a few tips have been posted in that article too? :censored:

But where do you draw the line?
Is offering advice and tips for one sort of, potentially, illegal activity ok, whilst another isnt?

Come on, if you're breaking the law you deserve what comes to you...if you're so thick you need someone to tell you what to do in order to avoid arrest then you deserve what you get.
Freedom is very subjective and if you're breaking the law you don't deserve it...

You're assuming that all laws are just.

If they're not, why aren't you voting for an MP to change them? Or if there isn't one, standing yourself?

Who knew politics was so simple, eh?
But seriously, I'd rather beat myself to death than be an MP

Well, not wholly true.
Best way to avoid arrest is to not go.
Im sure quite a few people get arrested by just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, when some other people kick off.
The larger the crowd, the harder it is to distance yourself from it.
