Re: News - Swedish prosecutor orders detention of WikiLeaks founder

Found an error... "..., Assange could be detained if an international arrest warrant could is ordered ..."

The only reason this got to the press was because he is the Wikileaks founder... So sad that we have this sort of situation, person of interest because some government doesn't like him.

I also find it kind of annoying that instead of trying to find a situation suitable for both parties they are only interested in what suits them best. Then when they realise he won't do it their way they appeal to the law to try force him to comply.

Smells fishy to me. I wouldn't be surprised if there is something else in the background pushing for him to come into Swedish authorities custody. Not usual to file for detainment just because he won't go to Swedish authorities property.

If the alleged rape charge was dropped, an international arrest warrant for assault and coercion is pretty excessive.
