I've been wondering about this for a while, are these pdf problems only with Adobe or with all pdf readers?

If with all then I'll update to this, otherwise I'll try out some other reader. Anyone know?

sumatra PDF i have always used, adobes PDF reader has been so bloated for ages.

The latest beta version of chrome (9) has had a pdf sandbox for ages now. You really don't need acrobat if you have chrome.

That is true, Chrome really does work very well, and slightly faster than other browsers.

It took me a while to switch from firefox, which i thought was the best until i used chrome for about a week on a work's laptop.

Adobe do have the ability to bloat things out as suggested above.

I switched to Chrome as soon as Adblock was available, and now I wouldn't use anything else.

As far as PDF readers go, the Adobe one is a bloatfest so I use Foxit, it's much faster to start and works well.
