God, don't be such a whiny little child, nVidia. You pulled the exact same stunt against 3Dfx. Bloody hypocrites.
As if either company has a leg to stand on, with the greater than 100% performance in crossfire/sli defying the laws of physics.
this is old and known since the 6800s were released. its something to do with the new aa method.
officially supported from next months cat release for the 5 series
theres no smoke here ngreedier, it was posted by amd a month or so ago regarding the new default catalyst layout
As said above Nvidia has done this for years...
but the easy response for nvidia rather then cry bout it is to do a press release with comparrison shots and say they have better image quality.... then it would be a positive rather then negative.
are ATI doing the same thing as 6 years ago? bilinear with AF?
Show me diff maps of the same frame, then we can see how big a difference there is.
The settings are still the same, but a different one is used by default now right? Not sure that's anything to cry about.
Nvidia is such a classic bully. They'll happily rip into their opponents all the time, but as soon as the opponent is seen to be doing something "unfair", they're the first to complain about it.
i do remember the legal action they took against futuremark when they exposed the ` rail camera` settings for benchmarks.
