Yeah it works fine. Just make sure you disable any extensions that interfere with pages. Like ad blockers etc etc.

Ah disaster strikes. The Pure DAB radio that I ordered for £19.99, Amazon have charged me £29.99 for it!

On my confirmation email, it quite clearly states “Order Grand Total: £19.99”. But they have charged my CC £29.99.

Just got off the phone with their CS (who were awesome), and they have raised the issue with their technical team. It appears somewhere between my placing the order at £19.99, Amazon have charged me £29.99. They reckon it’s a bug, and will get back to me within 24hrs.

Just had a call back from someone from Amazon. Turns out that this is a bug. A small number of people have experienced the exact same issue as me, with the exact same product. They said they are aware of it, and are actively trying to resolve it.

Okay... I just clicked blindy (clicking repeatedly until the buy button showed up) ... and went into "Waiting in queue" and still I didn't get it... Something strange going on if you ask me / Also when the timer starting counting down it seemed like a minute had already gone? Time / display problem depending on ISP? etc?? Who knows... but I can't get any offer, even if I am clicking without even knowing what I'm buying (for the one's where they don't tell you what the deal is going to be...)

A collegue found out that if you have two windows open, click "buy" on one, it will go to "waiting in queue" and then if you click "buy" on the second window, it then works... PITA! But he managed to get me an 8gb Sandisk SD card for £5 He found the advice on MSE...

Doesn't always work. Alternative method is to duplicate the tab after clicking add to basket

    I got a Wii

    and the Sony TV

    and the Heroes Blu-ray Boxset

    and.....no, I'll shut up now

You have to buy with no hesitation. If you don't, the item is gone. Get it in your basket and then decide if you want it later.
I literally got everything I wanted - and no, it won't be on Ebay.
Make sure your internet connection is perfectly clear, you have a fast browser (like Chrome) and you can do it!

No complaints here, but then again you wouldn't expect that when I've saved the best part of a grand on what I've got

I was charged full price for some items I managed to get the Black Friday price for. Cancelled the order, won't be going with Amazon again any time soon. See http://apebox.org/wordpress/rants/304/

Whereas when I had almost identical issues, the guy on the phone more or less accused me of lying about getting it into my basket at the discount price, and fobbed me off with made-up rules not on amazon.co.uk.

It's mostly luck. I'm using Chrome and a good ISP but they are both minor factors. I think we can definitely say BF will be back next year and this time more UK (e)retailers will be joining in

I had the same problem. What browser was you using? And did you by any chance have extensions installed?

I managed to get Amazon to refund me the difference, so I'm happy.

Check your auto-confirmation receipt. If the price at the top matches the BF deal, but at the bottom of the receipt it gives the full price then you have proof.

The thing is that you don't know how much it will sell for until the last second and then you have to make your decision in that exact second and click BUY!
