Nice to see the Beeb has learnt from the launch debacle of iPlayer in the UK where there was uproar because it would only run on Windows platforms. They would be crazy to launch another service tied to one platform again - Oh wait a minute - that's exactly what they are doing again. Nice one Beeb.

Why the correct customers. Aren't there only some 8 million iPad owners globally by the end of the year, based on expectations (ie, its MUCH less than this)? Also didn't people find that they only use like 5 apps?

If they had targeted just windows customers in the only states they would have had well over 10 times that many.

But then again anyone who bought one of those is probably going to part with their money quicker again.
