I was thinking exactly the same thing and did!
Overclockers have the XFX slightly cheaper than ebuyer atm but have there "own" ones at the £179.99 so snapped one up to go with my exisiting 5870.
Should be good but im not impressed by their delivery charges tho.
Hmmm... Can I justify XF 5870s? Nothing I play at the moment is anywhere near pushing the single card I use as things stand, and buying a second card to fold on would just be an extravance (especially as folding doesn't play nicley with XF cards.
Ordered. Should be a good step up from my GTX275, and a good bit faster than a GTX460 too .
Nah, I'm gonna stick with my poultry 4850 512Mb and then jump to a 6970 or 6990 next year. If I was gonna get something cheap at the moment I'd go for a 6870 and overclock it a bit.
6870 a fortnight or so ago for the same price. Its shame this wasn't available then otherwise i would got it instead.
To be fair it's 33% more expensive than a £140-145ish GTX460 1Gb (which also comes with HAWX2), so it should be faster to get equivalent bang per buck.

I can promise you it won't be 33% faster though
Bit harsh that.
Not had a problem with mine, other than the generic GSOD which was manufacturer agnostic, and found their customer service guys to be very responsive, quickly providing me with an RMA number AND a new BIOS, so that I had the choice of either returning or fixing the card.
I chose to fix it, and it has been running perfectly ever since.
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
whats interesting is how slow the competition is. Scan dont have anything below 200...
would this be much of an upgrade from GTS250s in SLI you reckon? Or hold off the uber cards in the new year?
havoc - I'd wait to be honest
I've ordered one, and so have 4 others since, if the numbers in stock are to be believed on the ebuyer site. Went for the freebie delivery.
I'm upgrading from crossfire 4870's (512MB), and will get another 5870 (Off eBay) this time next year.
I've recently changed gaming resolution due to the purchase of a new monitor from 1680x1050 to 1920x1080, so the 5870 will provide the icing on the cake.

Any news on the 5850, another would go nicely with mine.
