Its interesting to see how only lenovo are doing different OSs. All the other manufactures are only doing one OS for tablets. They all seem to be risking being left behind if a different OS takes the greater % share.

    And ASUS.

Remember that this doesn't consider ARM CPUs, though. All of the companies committed to Windows could be developing Android or MeeGo devices running on ARM SoCs, so in that way, they could be hedging their bets.

That might be true at launch, but once the Linux enthusiasts get their mits on those windows tables, we can be fairly sure that they will be running Meego (or another linux distro) fairly soon after.

Odds are that the tablets favoured by the community for running linux will not be the ones that ship with linux, as they will probably prefer other tablets if they are cheaper, easier to get hold of, or have more features.

At the moment, Dell netbooks are quite favoured by some sections of the linux community, even if you can't buy them with linux on any more.

I understand what your saying but Linux installers must represent a small portion of the market. Just surprised there isn't more of a spread. Personally (If I get one) I'm looking at Andorid tablets but I expect I will go down the ARM route. Work well enough for my phone.
