"The price of a 160GB PS3 could jump from £249.99 to £255, with the 320GB model climbing from £284.99 to £291. It’s likely that many games will also see around £1 added to their price, " reads the report.
"In recent years, supermarkets have competed heavily in this particular area and the likes of ASDA and Tesco have become great places to buy games."
Really? I've found Tesco a lot more expensive than online (i.e play, amazon, steam (sales only) etc). This is true of xbox and even more so with regards to PC games. Its rare I buy any games in bricks and mortar stores nowadays (Maybe 1 or 2 a year compared to about 30-40 online).
The last full price game I brought was BFBC2 at £29.99 on Steam and I have to say, it was worth every penny, really do love that game.
Before that, it was the Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 games, everything else I have brought on sales through Steam. :)
Do you remember that near none existent price reduction when VAT was dropped too 15%. Can't see the prices changing dramatically tbh and sales wise it won't be reflected properly until next Christmas.
Nothing to worry about.
It's the small everyday items this will effect......all those little "rounding ups" constantly...
