'Similarities' to the Galaxy.... it's basically the same phone
It has a curvy screen
a flash
NFC chip (wow, pointless or what?)
gyroscope
NO memory card slot
everything else is just software.
This was very lazy of Google, IMO it's a tiny update barely worthy of a new name. It's worse than the jump from iPhone 3G to 3GS, at least they bumped up the horsepower on the iPhone & many said that jump was a bit of a con.
Its not meant to be an update to the galaxy thought, its an update to the nexus 1.
Although there is no memory slot it does come with 16gb onboard which should be enough for nearly everyone.
My point was it's not a 'new' flagship phone, it's a Galaxy S.
Most people take memory cards for granted now, remember the uproar every time the iPhone doesn't have that on the newer model?
To be fair 16GB would probably do me but that's not the point, I know people who struggle with 32GB and as it was a feature of the Galaxy S, ie the phone it copied so it seems strange to remove it. Probably to make space for the NFC which is used in places such as.....ummm....I'm not sure I even know.
I my opinion it was a lazy move, no innovation like I expected so nothing to get excited about. The price is probably about right considering what it will be compared to.
Even the advert for it is poo

I like the potential bhind the NFC stuff.
maybe not this gen but a year or so down the line its possible it will replace all cards for purchases
