If only 15% of parents can use filters effectively then this whole thing should be about educating parents in the ability to use parental controls instead of how to make things more complicated for millions of people without kids just because they are apparently surrounded by stupid people.
I know to people who don't know much about computers it's not that easy for them to use parental controls but if told exactly what to do then how hard could it really be for them?
What you need to bear in mind is that most day to day internet users don't even know their username/password for the router to get into the administration settings to enable things like this to be enabled.Quote:

Very true i should have known that from the amount of friends and family members i have had to setup computers and/or routers for them although none of them have any worry's about their kids accessing porn so i admit i have never tried to setup any form of parental controls for anyone.Quote:

is it me or have they completely over looked the fact that porn is an entertainment industry and is actually in it for money... just like action films etc etc? Saying to block them is a bit of an FU to those trying to make money.
Also, i dont really see what the fuss is about as its the parents decision to get broadband and to get their child a flipping computer! Im only 18 but almost all my pc's ive had access to ive had to pay for with my own money... only my first computer was the family computer and i was like 5 years old :P, it didnt have internet though!. Times have changed but i dont see why the blame is being passed around to others when it is solely the parents fault for not making the effort to teach their kid the value of money by making them pay for things them selves (luxury's like pc's) or if they do treat/give their kids technology that they should actually understand it before hand.
And yes, porn has seriously screwed up everyones life i know, OMGZ!. Remember folks, girls watch it too ;).
My goodness, what a completely baseless and irrational statement. First of all, they're not children, they're teenagers. Why people would confuse a hormone rampaging fap machine with a poor innocent 6 year old is beyond me. Secondly, all humans are born addicted to sex, it's written into our genetics, we wouldn't have survived if we didn't care about sex one way or another during adolescence .
