I hope the Phenom II X6 1065T is available at retail at a similar price to the 125W version of Phenom II X6 1055T.

The 95W version of the Phenom II X6 1055T is easily the best available Phenom II X6 chip ATM.

The move to a small cache with the 1065T will hopefully not make a significant difference in performance. If the price drops, I might be tempted to choose this over sandy bridge!

All the Phenom II X6 processors have 6MB of L3 cache. The Phenom II X2,X3 and X4 also have 6MB of L3 cache too. At the same clockspeed this makes the Phenom II X2 the fastest of all them in single threaded operations.

However, the Phenom II X6 has Turbo Core and an improved memory controller which improves its single threaded performance.

If you can wait a few months it is rumoured that AMD Bulldozer and the AM3+ motherboards it used will be released in April.
