Re: News - NVIDIA releases WHQL 266.58 ForceWare drivers
So jokes aside, think I've been screwed over by these as well. Had a spate of BSOD'ing and this is the only change i've made recently (read:today). I've re-installed and it hasn't BSOD'd, yet, on the stock Windows drivers/settings.
The only thing stopping me from confirming its the drivers is that in some cases it wouldn't even boot into Windows before i formatted, everything at stock/optimised default settings and it was still giving me a BSOD. :/
Re: News - NVIDIA releases WHQL 266.58 ForceWare drivers
Tried these drivers but had to revert back to the old version as 3D Vision Surround just crashed my machine everytime I tried setting up 3D ??
Nvidia really do need to get these issues sorted out as I very much doubt that I will be purchasing any more Nvidia kit after the problems I have had with 3D and my 480GTX SLI setup.
I would not mind but most games will not run across 3 screens even with two cards
Dirt 2 Runs OK (apart from LA course) with out 3D across 3 screens but with 3D on - its rubbish and unplayable.
So I can run either 3 sceens or 3D but pretty much not at the same time !!

ME2 isn't the most demanding game out there but playing it with the new drivers didn't result in performance hit either. I can confirm that they are stable if that helps.
FYI, I'm running a GTS 250 card and a 9800 GT for PhysX support (both 1GB).

Since reverting back to the previous drivers my PC has been solid as a rock surviving a fresh install of Win 7, and benchmarks of Crysis, Heaven and even some F1 2010.

Download driver sweeper. It's free and works fine with W7.
I use it quite a lot with ATi drivers as they stopped fully uninstalling after about 10.11.
