Will the new "Dual-Core SB" be better than the i7 2600k?

Hmm, let me figure this one out. Dual core.. versus overclockable quad core.. hang on.. oh yes, of course. The dual core. Dunno why it took me so long to work out.

Depends on whether the dual cores are even more overclockable than the quads and whether you need/use a quad core cpu. For gamers/overclockers the dual core could possibly be a better option but we wont know till they are out and people start testing them.

Nice friendly post by the way

Unless a K series socket 1155 Core i3 is released overclocking will not be possible as they lack Turbo too.

QFT, I forgot about that little technicality, lets hope they release a K version then.

Could be interesting how cheap they can make and sell them for. With no OC ability this is were the squeeze with AMD is really going to come imo.

It would be nice, but I doubt they will, as dual cores are hardly the realm of the enthusiast these days

Yup I did come across a bit harsh, guess I was a bit cranky and it struck me as a rather silly question, sorry!
