Very disappointing lineup.......
No dual core? Seriously?
With the Atrix, Optimus 2x and Galaxy S2 all incoming / out what the hell do HTC think is gonna make these sell?
Not much of an update, I wonder what they'll have towards the end of the year, would imagine many Desire users are still in contract (well, I am).
TBH across the board it's been fairly underwhelming, except maybe the Samsung Galaxy S II.
If they are super cheap, then it's ok - but otherwise as mentioned they could of done with a few more tricks.
Incremental update this time, should be more interesting by the end of summer. Looks like a Tick Tock release pattern, this being the Tock.
Had my Desire since launch, was hoping for something a bit better to look forward to when my contract ends.
Hardly ever use the trackball either.
My Desire contract is up in September, hope they come out with something a bit better than this by then.
Was hoping for desire HD style screen + dual core + massive battery and near field payment. Oh well...
HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
The higher resolution screen on the Wildfire is nice for those at the bottom of the market, but the rest of the lineup is pretty conservative. After all, the HTC HD2 had very similar specs in a better chassis in November 2009! Are HTC turning into a Post-2007 Nokia, releasing phones that are no better than those released a year or two ago? If so LG and Samsung will eat them for breakfast.
Well, obviously. But physical buttons are tactile have a threshold before they activate. They're less likely to be pressed accidentally. I definitely prefer them, in the same way that I'd prefer a real keyboard over a virtual one.
The trackball I don't use much, but it's occasionally very useful. I doubt I'd miss it much if it wasn't there though.
