    I just hope the tablet space doesn't suffer quite as much from un-upgradability of the mobiles

    I thought Samsung wanted to compete with Apple in the tablet market? Letting Vodafone "customise" it will just be another reason for customers to go for an iPad. Just look at the Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire problems with regards to Vodafone firmware.
    It will cost Vodafone so much time and money in producing something is not wanted or needed..
