while i respect Steve Jobs for what he and apple have done.
I'd really really love to see the pompous Idiot get knocked off that high pedestal he is perched on.
P.s am not an apple hater. I may be on sunday after i have had to travel 65 miles to an apple store to get my wifes Iphone fixed because they dont have a standard warranty system like a normal company.
It's a nice looking device, and a marked improvement over the original iPad..still too expensive for what it is, still not overly useful for me, and I still want one (just won't spend the money).
I'm fairly confident that Apple will keep the tablet market for themselves this year, again. It's the best looking one due out, immediately usable by anyone whos used an iPhone (so thats most people), really does have the largest number of apps designed for a table, and does everything its competitors can do, that people actually want to do. The playbook may will take off in certain business/enterprise circles, but won't really worry apple in their home consumer markets.
I don't see why most peope would buy a similarly priced android tablet or a windows tablet over an iPad, unless they have some specific use for it or are one of the anti-apple brigade, and I think they will keep going with it until the next must-have device comes out.
They were first in with a good product, have stepped in again before the competition with the 2nd generation..I don't think the other tablet manufacturers have a chance.
I still won't be buying one (or any other tablet) as I have no use for one though!
