£500 is still too much for this even be considered a main stream item, (same goes for ipad)
Considering they can't replace a proper computer or laptop, Tablets in my mind are second in
line to a person needing access to the interet or computer.

Jobs was right in laughing off the attempts to take on Apple - all of them failed on very first thing, price tag.

No one will consider buying anything else if its more expensive than iPad... - my opinion given how well established Apple/1st Gen iPad is.

Still too much. I've picked up one of the original iPad's on clearance for just under £280... pretty much half the price of the Xoom!

All the android tablet prices need to come down below the iPad before most people (non-geeks, who don't care about dual core CPU's, more RAM etc...) will consider them, in my opinion.

Android tablets need to come in under 300. These would give smartphones a run for their money.

I hope HPs Touchpad offers a more compelling price.
