i can overlook and see through it all, but it's not fair on everyone else. it's turned an interesting thread into a mess. perhaps in retrospect i shouldn't have picked up when people made sweeping generalisations, but i thought i was being tactful and the contributors of this thread would have reacted more maturely with some interesting and thoughtful banter
