Re: News - Google testing music service

Competition is always good, if it means we get music a bit cheaper :-)

Not sure what this will mean for data usage on android or iphones, I think cloud will use a fair bit more than run of the mill background data usage. It would be quite nice to buy and download an album or download an album from my collection straight to my phone though (android user).

I wouldn't put a gaming distribution past google, google console next?

Valve have that well and truly nailed down. I hated steam to begin with (joined it way back when it first launched and came with HL2) but its really grown on me now. Think I'd find it hard to use anything else now since everything is very neatly packaged for me on steam.

I have wondered why valve/steam hasn't made a music download section considering the number
of people they have already signed up to steam

    The Race is On?

Isn't this what Zune and WinMo7 users have already?

Or those who use Spotify Premium?

    Or those who use Grooveshark?

Didn't we read they were investigating video distribution recently? That's why I'd expect google to step on the game thing to fire back
