But that is for the lowest model with 16GB. 16GB! Also, it's effectively like having a screen with speakers and cameras that plays Flash equivalent-like things on there.

To me, it is really expensive even for the lowest model and reinforces my thinking that it really is an extra thing to have once you got your more essential stuff (i.e. laptop, smartphone). Obviously lots of people don't think I do.

For £400, you can pick up a really good lightweight Toshiba laptop (e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-Sate...1401357&sr=1-2)

And yes, I know tablets and laptops aren't in the same market and that's why I think it is a really expensive extra.

All things you can do on a smartphone. About the only thing which justifies a tablet over a phone is a high-resolution plane for browsing the internet. So tablet - internet = useless.

Well you can still play games on it without the Internet on a bigger screen.

But a lot of games looks like Flash games. Never realise how expensive the iPad really is...

Very apt as they were taking the piss out of advertising, which is basically what apple are best at, they do it in such an amazingly cost effective manner too.
