Brings Firefox 4 to Android and Maemo.
there is already an ad-block add on for it too, will be checking this out tonight!
already on 4.1a1pre :) getting better every day - shame its such a RAM hog though.
Does it support flash? there was talk somewhere of it not having flash support... :/
nooo :( although clicking a flash thing can be set to open the default android browser
the default browser is super quick though, its only plugins/full screen/bookmark synch away from people not needing another browser at all.
firefox gives you all of that, you just need to hop out of it now and again - worth the tradeoff considering you dont /have/ to use just one :)
Problem with firefox or any other browser on Android is the default browser is so good and simple, its heard to really improve on it.
Also releasing firefox 4 without flash support was a silly move...
WORST ANDROID APP EVER...
Ok maybe not but pretty damn crap. I installed previous versions and this latest on my HTC Desire.
Always crashes on first load. Previous versions would at least load on 2nd start but then kept crashing. Uninstalled
Current version - crashes on 1st load. Causing a lockup that is so extreme I have to remove battery to reboot (and uninstall that POS!!). Which is a pain as my phone has to be extracted from its case to remove battery.
Pity really as FF on x86 Desktop is pretty damn good (but I've moved on to Chrome anyway)
Tried last night to grab for my N900, not hopeful as old version is slow but despite the Ovi blurb chatting about FF4 when I downloaded it I got 3.x... poor effort Nokia, poor effort.
THe N900 default browser is FF based, slow and clunky, Opera seems to have a lot of formatting issues and FF is slow to start, slow to do anything although it does sort of work, apart from Flash.
