Re: News - Lian Li expands chassis range

Nothing new to see here. They all look the same as the last two generation of Lian Li cases. No modern concepts have been used that are found on competiting cases from Coolermaster, Corsair or Silverstone. Designs look quite dull now.

And look at those prices... Laugh my silly arse off.

A few years ago everyone used to look at Lian Li cases with envy, Even I got one because of the rep, sold it after a while as it wasn't that good.

Think Lian Li are becoming a Nokia of the computer case world.. Left behind in the dust...

Re: News - Lian Li expands chassis range

    I tend to agree.

I'm very disappointed with my Lian Li. Everyone I'd asked about them raved saying how wonderful they were. I can't agree. My experience now after a build for someone else into a mid-priced tower, and my own machine in a far more expensive case, is that they are aesthetically pleasing, but otherwise vastly overpriced and underwhelming. Noise, cooling, and features are all well under what I would expect for the money. The Antec P180 (original) was far more impressive to me. Avoided for my own case as by that point I wanted the external firewire, eSATA and USB, and a touch more room than the P180 had. It's just a shame that there's no such thing as the perfect case. I was very intrigued by the Corsair 800D when it came out, but I don't want a window, and I inferred from some reviews that it might be a bit too noisy for me. I think it would have been a better option than the Lian Li I'm now stuck with, in any case (phew, getting that punnage in there took far too many grey cells).

A lot of their cases seem to be the same.

I have a Lian-Li case, but mine is a limited edition AMD case - and hence is more attractive than usual. Feature and build quality wise it seems pretty good, but i can't speak for their other cases.

Lian Li cases look nice but I could buy better specs for half the price.
