I do miss multitouch on my older laptop, but I'm not paying £70 for a dock thing like that. I'd pay either to replace the touchpad (likely not an option) or for a new laptop. And I'm leaning towards a new laptop. I have no space for a dock and a mouse would do a better job overall anyway.

What do you use multitouch for ?

I only really use it for scrolling, and my older laptop has a dedicated section on its touchpad for that....

Have to say I agree, I've never found that multitouch or gestures really add to my productivity on anything that's not touch screen, I'm fast with the cursor maybe.

Scrolling is all I use it for - but my older laptop has some driver issues with 7 x64 I think, and the scroller bit on it doesn't work.

    Who, me?

If so, haven't tried. Dunno about the main article.
