    Re: News - Google optimises Sites for mobile devices

    Currently the optimised layout is only enabled for iOS 3 and Android 2.2 (or newer) users, leaving those without outdated handsets, and of course Windows Phone 7, out in the cold
    IOS3+ or Froyo+

    So it leaves out users with outdated handsets or WP7 in the code right?

    Re: News - Google optimises Sites for mobile devices

    I'm never particularly a fan of 'mobile-optimised' sites. I find them hard to navigate and annoyingly limited on the information they display at one time.

    Fortunately, Dolphin allows me to ignore mobile-optimised sites and gives me the full version on my phone without me worrying about it

    I'm of the opinion that mobile sites should just be tweaked versions of the real site, because that's what you're used to browsing.

    So, for example, you might enlarge some of the nav elements to make them easier to click, or change the column flow slightly so that the main content can fill the screen better.

    And most importantly, get rid of stuff that relies on mouseover effects... they don't work so well on touchscreens

    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
