A near GTX560Ti in a laptop is fairly impressive horsepower though.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Very true! Though with the size of Laptop needed to own one, I'd be sorely tempted just to get a desktop. A laptop after all should be mobile?

Re: News - GeForce GTX 580M is the fastest notebook GPU ever, says NVIDIA

Not necessarily. Some laptops should be mobile. Others are desktop replacements and are laptops for convenience and space reasons; e.g. not much space on desk, much easier to transport a 4kg beast laptop than a 15kg PC + monitor on the train.

But when you start looking for so much power in a laptop, I can't help wondering if most people would indeed be better off spending half the money on an equally or more powerful desktop.. and if need be, buying a fairly cheap smallish portable laptop as well.

    "Yes; it runs Crysis"

"Most importantly, the M18x has been shown off running Crysis 2 - the ever-popular system-crippling test game."

I'm not dissing the 580M or M18x and they are fast but Crysis 2 is *not* a system-crippling game. In fact this console port runs pretty fast on most all mainstream/performance gpus:

I think your article has very much confused it with the original Crysis (*not* Crysis Warhead either), which can still bring modern systems to their knees at high resolutions and vid quality.

People are just using the 'Crysis' name as some sort of gold standard benchmark even though it is not the appropriate version they are even using. Typical marketing BS by nvidia gone unchecked by a lot of websites unfortunately.
