Oh for god's sake, I'm not even to comment any further...
It's been a slow burner then, there hasn't been a new GTA for about 4 years...
Not even worthy of a real reply.

Some future story in a local paper 'might' include some quotes about GTA and you go from that to 'GTA blamed for civil unrest'? What kind of news is this Hexus?
I suppose we're out of luck then for an up to date GTA: London edition then?
Maybe this game caused the Police to shoot that dude in the first place?
:stupid:
Lol...
Sensationalist reporting. I agree with kalniel, Hexus should be above this. This sort of garbage doesn't deserve our attention.
Sigh.. I guess Call of Duty was to blame for the shooting in the first place?
Get real Hexus, this is not news!
Seriously? This isn't news on any level.
The Daily Mail might be interested in giving those two a job though with opinions like that..
Just because this is a depressingly over-familiar news story that we all wish had disappeared years ago doesn't mean Hexus shouldn't be reporting it. The fault is with the paper for being sensationalist, not Hexus for picking up on it.
Well - I don't know if anybody has noticed but there hasn't exactly been a great deal of technology news recently... anywhere.
I'd rather laugh at how rubbish our country is than continually refreshing the Hexus page hoping for some tech news!
If anything it would have been State of Emergency, no?
IIRC in GTA San Andreas you spend most of your time trying to clear up the riots, not propagate them.
But then it's more fashionable to talk about games than to play them.
*new word alert*
Alternations
everyone start using it and it will get in to the dictionary lol
lol. thats all i have to say on this subject
What's next - blaming Lesuire Suit Larry for a rise in sex crimes?
If games affected people then the drive home would be frantic and filled with driving into oncoming traffic so my boost bar fills up while just missing them to get my near miss multipliers up.
That's just lazy reporting by the author of this and they need to be repremanded but it will never happen as the great uneducated masses love knee-jeck tabloid reports like this.
If it wasn't for articles like this reporting on such a potential and idiotic mistake from the London paper then gamers and the likes wouldn't have had the chance to express their outrage direct to the paper and in turn put them under huge pressure to issue a reprint.
So well done to all those that took action on this and gave the paper a piece of their mind rather than just complaining.
What hasn't GTA been blamed for? I've played the series since I was 10, haven't killed anyone yet or burnt down my own city. Seriously...
The only thing credible studies have shown is that kids playing computer games aren't out on the streets bored, with nothing to do and resorting to violence.
Kids also have a great way to safely de-stress and their enjoyment from these games shows them one of the benefits of society and business.
You see and appreciate the benefits a safe, culture rich society could bring you, computer gaming is something that is strongest in such a society. As a kid growing up I was glad that because of our fairly stable and safe society, developers could work on and bring me great computer games to play, I recognised this at a fairly young age, I'm sure at least subconsciously the young gamers of today are well aware of this.
hope these incidents doesn't stop GTA5 :P
