    So, just an edited reprint, and not an actual retraction then?

    LES = cockney tabloid?

    I'm actually surprised that it's taken this long to make a connection. Lazy journalism is rife. How long before there's some backbench MP calling for bans/restrictions on such "dangerous" entertainments?

    That said, I can't remember anything in GTA that parallels what the thugs were up to, (is there something in The Lost & The Damned?). With the Norwegian massacres being partially blamed on CoD, and now this the games houses must be feeling under a bit of pressure?

    There was also a murder in Leicester, the victims mother claimed the killer had mimicked the game Manhunt.

    I'm off to asda to eat all the cherries and hold Pacman responsible.

    I don't think GTA is very realistic. When I shoot people on there money appears near the body. I tried it in London today and no money appeared Is there something I am missing?

    Your sights need adjusting?

    Amusing this morning watching the news media dragging on all the "experts" to explain why the disaffected/disenfranchised youth are making this "protest". Funny that it doesn't seem to have spread - or is life all wine and roses for the yoofs in Newcastle, Glasgow, Cardiff, etc? No? Didn't think so!

    Personally I blame SimCity - poor players thinking that they can make good real-life governments.

    Re: News - Sense prevails as London Evening Standard retracts video game blame

    They go on about how people rioting are blaming computer games..

    Yet, they mention pacman, how many drug addicts blame pacman for them taking pills and listening to repetative music...
