Are Nintendo still in the green or is it the next ps3?
And I don't think they will be able to make money from accessories and software sales alone.

iSupply estimate the total manufacturing cost to be $103 - so yes they are still in the green. Nintendo are pretty unique in the video gaming world as they tend to make money on every unit sold from day one - compared to Microsoft and Sony who both lose massive amounts of money on each console sold during the first few production runs.
It's good to see the price drop as I really want the console to be a success - so that more games will be made for it. I got mine on launch day but I only paid £166 for mine (from tesco), so i'm not that fussed about the price drop..£50 or so is an average premium to pay for getting something like this at launch, so it's no worse than any other. Plus as an early adopter I got a free t-shirt, free zelda soundtrack, and now 20 free games (from the 3DS Store)..so when you add up the costs it's no where near as bad :)
