does this mean its more expensive and slower?
Oddly enough it's cheaper than a lot of the competing 'Mac compatible' DDR3, at least on Amazon. Might have to finally upgrade!
As opposed to Mac-incompatible memory?:shocked2:
Most Macs just take standard DDR3? (Sodimms on the notebooks)
Well, I suppose if there's one market where you can sell exactly the same product for an inflated price...
Refreshing to see they're not overpriced, given that they're identical to normal RAM!
I have Macs at work (2 mac pros and a macbook pro - I work at 2 sites), but PCs at home. Even with 8 and 16GB of RAM in the mac pros, I find them much slower and less stable than my PC at home (also 8GB RAM), and they cost about 4 times as much... As much as I use macs, and I find some aspects of them quite good, I remain baffled why anyone would buy one with their own money :)
Who knows, maybe this is the start of "special Mac hardware" being priced more in line with what it really is...
