    I agree that attaching a laptop via a HDMI cable is easier but I can see the point if you want to stream internet video DVD/Blueray from a desktop in another room.

    If this is the case £130 to replace a blueray or DVD player is ok. Not being able to remote control the desktop would be more problematic though.

    Must say it's far easier to just stream wirelessly over the home network on my Samsung tv, also can just stick a 1080p mkv on a usb stick if networks a bit slow for full HD. I'd say it might be good for streaming iPlayer to the tv or something like that but again the samsung tv has that built in. I like my tv if you can't tell.

    So that leaves gaming I suppose, would be nice to use my gaming machine on the 46" in the lounge, not going to lug the desktop down there though. Would require some form of wireless control though. I guess if it came bundled free with high end graphics cards it would be cool.
