Is it just me, or does that mouse look strikingly similar to the R.A.T. mice from Saitek, save for the plastic shell?
My Alienware mouse is made by Logitech. The only reason I bought it over a G9 was because PCWorld were selling it for around £30!! If the Corsair version is more expensive than the Saitek one you only paying for the name.
I'm liking the look of the K90 keyboard, mechanical keys with backlights.
That keyboard reminds me of the old IBM and Cherry keyboards that were made of metal.....
Shame they never survived into the USB era My last one had the old 5 pin DIN AT socket...

cherrys have survived in the USB era, its funny how USB isnt actually better than PS/2 its worse... constant cpu usage when its not needed and it doesnt support NKRO (i.e press any amount of keys at a time). USB only supports like 6 keys .
my filco has a usb to ps/2 adapter which is handy . IBM you cant beat for typing so im told, unfortunately england (southwest more so) have a lack of these keyboards compared to america and asia
edit: confused, the post above was never posted... odd.
FYI, the K60 and K90 support 20-key rollover on USB. So unless you use both hands and feet, and your face, it's more than you need. It's a full anti-ghosting matrix too.
Well thats excellent news Blackbeard, nice to know that corsair is taking this seriously! Unlike some other companies *cough* razer*cough*. Is it possible that the k60/90 will support ps/2 via an adapter? would be a nice feature if im honest.
I guess it would come down to whether there's a demand for it, or we get inundated with requests for it. With 20KRO on USB already, though, I'm not sure what the advantage would be to using PS/2. It's an old interface and it really makes more sense to use USB, providing you can get all the required features on USB, which we think we have.
i noticed my previous posts have missed out on a key feature, the fact that ps/2 only activates when a key is pressed (or multiple keys ofc), when compared to USB which has to constantly poll the port and use a bit of cpu usage to check if a key has been pressed. I know cpus are a lot better now adays but for me personally seems like a silly thing to be wasting a percentage of cpu power on when it can reduced while at the same time freeing up a usb slot .
I just think if maybe you guys sold it with a ps/2 adapter or sold one seperately or even made sure it supported an adapter it would be a nice and has a potential to increase sales.
A quick question providing you are allowed/can answer it, will you guys be doing different switch types in the future? i.e Mxbrowns ? Dont have a fancy for blacks as they seem pants, blues arent great for double tap but browns are epic . I must say though you have got my attention on this board just to try out the reds... i dont even need a new one as i got this filco here which i think would be hard push to top even with the nice surround .
But anyways, good job as its nice to see a good company deciding to do alot better than people like razer. Thought has actually gone into the product and using mxreds are a different approach . Keep it up!
I'm quite gutted that I just ordered a Microsoft Sidewinder X4 and a Naos 3200. Although, the keyboard was only £26 But I guess the Corsair are in a different league, mechanical and all.
I'm looking at getting a HS1-A in the near future. Do you think I should wait for the Vengeance 1300 and get that, or get the HS1 which is only £30. Even if I do wait and get the HS1 it should be cheaper due to the new model, correct?
Thanks. I have a strange affinity for Corsair
HS1 and HS1A are EOL so it's a case of get them while you can.
I'm actually using the new Vengeance 1100 a lot these days, since I still like to have some awareness of external sounds (doorbell, wife shouting etc). It sounds awesome too.
I've been looking at prices.....and I am seriously thinking of moving on the old HS1A headset as I cannot see their replacements (Vengeance 1300) being worth twice the price!
When did the HS1 and HS1A drop so low?

HS1 and HS1A are end-of-life, so there are likely some deals on the final units, before the new Vengeance products arrive.
The list price of the new headsets is similar to what HS1 / HS1A were new, and the new models are better.
