ha that story made me smile, the guys at itv must have some monster set-up if they can run arma 2 so high it looks real xD
Just proves the media pick any old crap they can find, related or not, to 'prove' something happened and convince the public they are trustworthy. Let's be honest, they didn't have a clue where the footage came from or what it was showing, they were just hoping no-one would notice.
I hate people who correct spelling and add nothing to the discussion whatsoever but;
News - ITV apologies for mistaking ArMA 2 footage for IRA attack
apologises
Sorry

Ahah, this was ridiculous. I lol'd very much when I heard about it.
It looks totally questionable anyway.... whoever stuck it in must of been smoking something really good that day.
It seems that someone mistakenly picked footage from Arma 2 of the IRA, rather than real footage.
Bug for me, this also raises another question, beyond journalistic integrity. Does it strike anybody as a bit weird to want to create a video recreation of an IRA video in Arma 2?
Not only ITV, you should check out BBC as well on the recent Libya turmoil. How could they have mistaken the Libyan flag?
