The IPS display is fantastic

yes, I played the same trick, the "argh dammit, just broke it" as tablet and dock were parted.
The Transformer was the device that finally persuaded me that tablets weren't just another Jobsian fad - and I'm using mine pretty regularly these days. One thing I'll be interested in though - see after you've had it a while, don't iPad, Xoom's etc look a little limited? It still amazes me how much more useful the tablet is with that dock, e.g. I put Docs2Go on mine and I can now use it to create/edit Word and Excel docs on Google Docs as easily as I used to create/edit them with Libre on my old netbook, (tip - use the dock button to turn off the trackpad - it seems to work a bit faster and certainly more accurately).
Only downside is that it would appear that my dock is one of the ones with the power issue - so it self drains in about 3-4 days. :'( I'm sure Asus will be helpful with that though.
I'm now wondering if the Padfone will make it into the shops in time for my contract renewal.
PS Don't forget the TegraZone - I've bought a couple of apps from that and haven't been blown away - best one so far has been "Galaxy on Fire" but that's a bit limited.
I had one for a couple of months, bought it @ £315 (from Ebuyer express) and sold it for £250 (after ebay fees) as I wasn't using it.
Good device, good battery life, nice screen, good if you use it :-)
(I didn't have the dock)
