Microsoft has promised to chill with the bundling and continue to make Skype available on other operating systems.

I suppose there's reason to be hopeful given the launch of the Android client for Hotmail this week (or at least Hexus covered it this week), just as long as it doesn't fall into the "Works best on Windows" trap.

Actually glad to see Microsoft get this - as hinted at in the article, there really needs to be some competition put up to Google.

And no - I don't count "reaching for the lawyers" as "competition".
