Three's £35.00 "One plan" deal wipes the floor with every other operator. I'm amazed at how much more they can offer compared to the same price point of others. Impressed with GiffGaff as well for the SIM only crowd.

This. Even disregarding the massively improved internet allowance, at £35/month they offer far more minutes/texts - or other networks only offer comparable minutes/texts for much more per month - so unless you're one of the few people who will use upwards of 5,000 texts/month, and especially with *unlimited* internet included, it's a no-brainer.

Note - O2 offers data bolt-ons for Internet usuage. The current charges per month are: £3.00 for 100MB, £6 for 500MB and £10 for unlimited.
Not quite, it's £10 for 1GB. Slight difference

    This makes little sense:
    T-Mobile deals for entry-level model (16GB) – 24 month-contract

    £25.54 – 100 UK Minutes, 100 UK texts, 500MB internet, £239.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £30.64 – 300 UK Minutes, 300 UK texts, 500MB internet, £169.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £35.75 – 600 UK Minutes, 500 UK texts, 500MB internet, £99.00 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £40.85 – 900 UK Minutes, 500 UK texts, 500MB internet, £29.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £45.96 – 1200 UK Minutes, 500 UK texts, 750MB internet, free iPhone 4S
£61.27 – Unlimited UK Minutes, 500 UK texts, 1GB internet, free iPhone 4S

    Orange deals for entry-level model (16GB) – 24-month contract

    £20.00 – 50 UK Minutes, 50 UK texts, 100MB internet, £309.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £25.00 – 100 UK Minutes, 125 UK texts, 250MB internet, £239.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £31.00 – 200 UK Minutes, 200 UK texts, 500MB internet, £169.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £36.00 – 600 UK Minutes, Unlimited UK texts, 500MB internet, £99.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
    £41.00 – 900 UK Minutes, Unlimited UK texts, 750MB internet, £29.99 one-off payment for iPhone 4S
£46.00 – 1200 UK Minutes, Unlimited UK texts, 750MB internet, free iPhone 4S
£51.00 – Unlimited UK Minutes, Unlimited UK texts, 1GB internet, free payment for iPhone 4S
£61.00 – Unlimited UK Minutes, Unlimited UK texts, 2GB internet, free payment for iPhone 4S
Is anyone able to explain to me why anyone would buy T-Mobile's £61.27 package when Orange's £51 package offers more or the same all round? And they will be using the same network seamlessly from next week or something?
Orange seems to normally be better value than T-mobile on these tariffs.

Dear God are people paying that? Samsung Galaxy S2, 15 quid a month, more minutes than I'll ever use, unlimited texts and 1GB data, free phone. Better than the iPhone, and about 1/3-1/4 of the cost. It's a no-brainer!

I have no interest in getting an iPhone anyway as I think they are ridiculously expensive, but a 24-month contract is way too long to commit to in my opinion. Plus won't another iPhone be launched next year too?

Three also has a range of other tariffs available. In-depth tariffs can be viewed at the T-Mobile website.
    That should say Three.

Technically, that statement is still correct - it's just T-mobile's indepth tariffs there, not Three's

BTW GiffGaff do not allow tethering, its against their Terms and Conditions, and the Mobile Hotspot feature I think is disabled.

    Because it's orange...

They are a terrible company to deal with.....some nasty practices as well. The only reason I am with them is that I know a few people who work for them and 40% off the contract is too much to say no to.

So, if you do know someone who works in orange, ask them if they have any friends and family slots left
