This tells us nothing about the cost of the phone, because it does not give the length of the contract.
£46pm over 12 months = £552
£46pm over 18 months = £828
£46pm over 24 months = £1,104
Which is it?
Seems a bit daft, if you can pick it up SIM free for £515. A £10 a month Giff Gaff sim on top, you've saved over £300...

£46pm over 24 months = £1,104 ===== Ridiculous, complete piss take. These silly high prices will kill these high tech smart phones if they keep going up in price. In a time when people are cutting back aggressively on their spending, you can be sure a mobile phone is not going to get priority in a spending budget.
I like my modern tech like any other person and have enjoyed my Desire HD from launch , but only had to cough up £25 per month and I get 3gb per month data, I would not spend any more than £25 per month, not today, yesterday or next year.
That is a crazy price. I'm on a sim only plan, but I need to even cut back on that - as I hardly use all the minutes I pay for...will activate my giffgaff card and top up on demand. 10 / 15 quid a month!
I just looked on the handtec site:-
Samsung Galaxy Nexus 16GB (SIM Free/Unlocked)
Our Price: £503.99
Especially crazy when you can get the galaxy s 2 for £400 . . . .

Who is dictating the price they can charge - Google or Samsung? Or is it P4U trying to make a quick buck
I just managed to get (ok so this was by threatening to leave Three) £23 for a Galaxy S2 on their 1 plan. So unlimited data, 5000 texts and 3000 minutes on a 18month contract.
I dont know about anybody else, but i would NEVER pay above £35 on a monthly contract, even then I'd probably never pay above £30
Wow (shadowsong): Arthran, Arthra, Arthrun, Amyle (I know, I'm inventive with names)
You better tell this to all the people buying iphone 4s! Anyone would think money was growing on trees just outside their stores! I'm not even sure I can afford to replace my x10 next year... (Saying that with 2.3.3 on it and a new battery/sd card it does all i need.)

£46 is pretty much expected. I'd never (and have never) paid above £10.50 for a contract (Im currently on said amount) because a phone shouldn't be an expense you have to budget for in the respects of todays stupid prices. People that are getting the ip4s are ones that have money to spend because most probably, they're idiots, or have budgeted in such a way to allow them to spend £40~ a month on a phone contract. Why they deem this an acceptable price is beyond me but its something people do and the providers know this. There are loads of other things that work in the same fashion.
My question is: whats with the 5mp camera on this phone?! /sadface
As long as it has good low light capability, and low noise - mega pixels not so much of a biggie!!
I did expect it to be at least 8 mega pixels though - seeing that most phone dropping recently have been.
This. A 3MP picture, printed out at standard print quality (i.e. 300dpi), will give you - very roughly - a 5" x 7" print. And how many digital photos do you print on a regular basis? 'Cause I don't print any. I view them on my phone and I stick them online - and for those uses anything above 1MP is pretty much wasted, tbh...
thats a damn good price, I threatened to leave last month, I want the Samsung Galaxy S2, but the cheapest they would offer me it on the one plan, for 24 months, was £29.50. (did you have to pay an upfront cost?)
I declined and moved onto a rolling month by month contract in anticipation these would drop in price after the iphone 4s.
Think I will call the back towards the end of the month when they are fighting to get the monthly stats.

You're a good example of why some animals eat their young
