The first reviews are in. Is Revelations a decent tribute to Ezio and Altair's final curtain call?

The HEXUS review of Assassin’s Creed Revelations will launch later this week.
Presumably when the reviewer has finished beavering away through it? :D
That said, I'm wondering whether to try playing Revelations (which arrived yesterday) before attempting Brotherhood (which I got a while ago, but haven't played yet).

I haven't played Revelations yet (Christmas possibly) but I would say that as it's a continuing story you should play Brotherhood before it, as this is the concluding part of the story.

Thanks, I'm sure that I saw something online that said Rev was a continuation of Bro - in which case, as you say, I'd better get that one lined up first.
Music on Rev is good though - I got the fancy pack with the separate soundtrack CD, still think I prefer the AC2 soundtrack though.

I think I better actually get a hold of these, think I saw the first 2 on offer somewhere very recently, looked decent enough when they were launched, always a sucker for seeing movies/games to their end!

I did AC2 before trying AC1 - which was a major mistake, there's so many graphical glitches (e.g. I got stuck in between walls on a couple of times, with AC2 I got stuck halfway in/out of a gondola once) in the earlier game that I found it extremely frustrating. I'd also suggest that the pacing in AC2 is far better than AC1. Oh, and if you're a fan of good story then I'd suggest that AC2 has the earlier outing comprehensively beat. I just never empathised with Altair, whereas in AC2 you see Ezio go from late teen braggart to something impressive and VERY dangerous. In addition there's a strong "supporting cast".
As you can tell I'm a big fan of AC2! :D (So much so that I actually went out and bought the soundtrack for that - apart from the music used for the climbing quests, it's actually quite good. And then followed up with the novel.)
I just can't understand why I've left Brotherhood unplayed for so long - maybe slightly put off by the RTS element they introduced in that game.

I've just started Brotherhood, I like it so far, apart from the 'do a task in this time to get 100% completion' rubbish. Seems a bit more free-running than AC2 as well.
