If you've got more than 25% of that list then you need to get out more/get a hobby?

That said, I've got 3 of the top 5, missing out on the footie game and Skyrim. Oh the shame of it!

Struggling? Skyrim, bf3 and maybe batman (its not out on pc yet, 25th is release date so maybe that explains its low position?).

Skyrim being an epic rpg and bf3 being the best FPS this year . Its funny as these charts are no real representative of how well a game is doing, especially on pc.... look at steam and laugh at the pitiful amount of MW3 players, 60,000 while skyrim has over 300,000 (was 600+ at one point iirc) and even css has 50k and cs1.6 has 59k, seriously how bad is that? games which are 6 + years old still have similar amount of players as a new POPULAR release .

Ok now time for uni work and skyrim.... or maybe just skyrim.

I loath single-player RPGs....so Skyrim won't even get a look at if someone gave it to me for free...

    Batman isn't out yet...

BF3 is excellent...but is rather frustrating without mates about

AC:R > Played the first 2 enough to say "Been there done it"

Fifa 12 is still getting an occasional play...

I need my racing pod before I will play any of my driving games...

Most of that list makes me

How about posting something on the Hexus gaming forums - I'm in the same boat and when I asked around I got quite a few folks saying "come and join us"? Sometimes Hexus is just so good! Soon as I get the sound input on my PC sorted out, I'll be taking those generous folks up on their offers.

Funnily enough I have the same feeling about Batman games - tried the first one and wasn't impressed, seen the mechanics elsewhere. Other people rave about them, but it's just a big "meh" to me.

That said, I'm currently playing through Driver:SanFran, (and enjoying it), so what the heck do I know?

Yeah but have you seen the Steam current players count? Skyrim is slaughtering MW3 (I know, lots of people playing MW3 outside of Steam.)

Re: News - UK videogame charts, 8 new games hit top 20

I have a feeling Skyrim's going to hang on to the top10 for a while. My guess is that some PC users will wait until a patch (or user mods) fix a lot of things about the game before buying it.

    Also:
It just goes to show how many units Modern Warfare 3 must of sold on launch week
This feels like nail scratching on a blackboard.

already have the #1 game nuff said. Apart from that i wouldn't mind picking up saints row 3, skyrim and nfs run love racing games to bits so it's a must buy. I'll probably wait until the end of the year to pick up the above games at discount.

One thing about SR3 - I picked a copy of that up for the XBox yesterday lunchtime, and had a spin of it last night. Not a bad game on the whole, but I'd better warn you that I think the official "actual game footage" that they've got up on YouTube etc must be taken from the PC version, because the one I played has nowhere near the graphics quality shown. The XBox version reminds me of an old version of GTA - say pre-version 4, plays fine just looks (a bit?) ugly compared to GTA4.

That's exactly what I'm saying. SR3 on the PC supports DX10 and 11 - and with my current system the difference is like night and day. I'd argue that the difference is miles more noticable than the one folks have widely commented about in BF3, (which I've also got on both PC and console). It very well might be better on the PS3, (I don't have one, so I can't tell), maybe someone else on Hexus can comment on that?

The only time that I miss the console version is when driving vehicles - the XBox controller is far better (for me at least) than having to press keys. If there was someway to use the XBox controller just for doing the vehicle bits on the PC then I'd be really happy.

Actually, the XBox version starts quicker - however it looks so poor that I'm more than willing to wait the extra 30-60 seconds that it takes to fire up the PC, launch Steam, and then get playing. To be honest, I'm giving serious thought to trading back the XBox version - haven't even reclaimed the Professor Genki extras. Of which speaking, if you get the chance to get that version then I'd pay the extra three quid over the normal one - the manapult vehicle is actually quite useful, (and funny to boot). GAME still has a few copies of that - and when I bought mine last week I asked for it specifically.

Edit: just checked and my hex-core AMD with GF460 card is running with the following settings: 1920x1080; 4x AA; 4x AF; VSync on; "high" settings on everything apart from "shadow detail" and "ambient occlusion", which are set to "medium". Everything seems to run fine, and certainly to the quality you see on the YouTube videos.
