This read like a typical Nvidia fanboy forum post. Why not mention the lack of PhysX and Cuda as well?
Because AMD offers suitable alternatives for those technologies, however Application Profiles are a generic feature that could be implemented in any driver set and are important for a firm that focuses on bleeding edge performance.
