Looks awful, runs awful. I would dearly like to turn off 'infinite scroll' as using the 'scroll bar' it is very frustrating to use, not everyone uses a wheel mouse some people use these things called laptops.

I don't know what they were thinking. The wall was central to communication on facebook, now nobody posts stuff to eachothers profiles because it's just a mess of ... stuff.

Agree with everyone. Timeline is just a UI mess and I have great difficulty finding the Wall where I can post on a friend's profile

WHoever designed it needs a basic course in Human Computer Interaction, this was clearly designed by a boardroom

What?! The box to make a post is always on the top left, beneath the header section. How difficult can it be to find?

That's what right-edge scroll is for, or the page down key.

Everything is difficult to find in the timeline view. Nothing is distinguished or prominent, it's all one big melting pot of noise.

So you're telling me that something which is in the same place on every page is difficult to find?!

Find it to begin with is the problem. UI elements should be intuitive and obvious.

More change for the sake of change nonsense.

Re: News - Facebook relaunches Timeline with over 60 apps

I'm actually usually quite pro-change in facebook (in moderation/infrequent) and feel that a lot of people are afraid of change...however, this timeline thing is quite comfortably one of the worst things I've ever seen on facebook. It's a Human-Computer Interaction disaster; all of the posts appear to be side by side, yet there's no consistency as to which post is going to be in the left and whether the next 2-3 posts in a row will be on the right and frankly, it's a nightmare for quick-reading.

Is there a way to choose whether you want to view someone's profile in Timeline or not?

Social networking sites either keep evolving or they die. Just look at what happened to MySpace.

Your complaint is a complete non-complaint. You know exactly how to make a wall post. You're just being obstinate for the sake of it.

Yes, evolve, meaning to improve through selection. Not devolve into a load of unstructured crap.

My complaint is a complaint. You can't have a non-complaint complaint, that's nonsensical doublespeak. And figuring out how to make a post doesn't equate to it being an optimal UI or an improvement of any kind. I'm being 'obstinate' because it's a reduction in software quality, not an improvement.

Or do you think everyone has to like changes to software (particularly those you approve of) and to put up or shut up?
