Does this apply to google ads on their own search pages? ;)

Good. A positive development for users, especially those with smaller screens, or lower resolutions, or both. And smaller screens, like tablets, may be what this is about.

The way tablets are going, the average tablet will have more page on screen than the average laptop. I'm sick to death of 1366 x 768 screens.

This, it does however make me happy to think "HAHAHA" everytime i see a 15.6" screen with less pixels than my 14.1" at 1440 x 900
To the point, who doesn't use adblockers now? i have not seen an advert in years

I just want a 11" or 12" laptop with 1080p. A super thin model like an Ultrabook would be the icing on the cake too.

Just a new T430u with a 1080p screen would be nice, but they decided on 1366 x 768 WTF
