You just must love Apple for their product names. Lion, Mountain Lion, Time Capsule, Magic Mouse.. :)
They're going to start running out of cats to use eventually.
The Cats should sue them for name infringement.
How long until Mac OS is dead and were all using iOS devices?
Its how I see things going atm, MS seem to be on the same path as well.
They can re-use cat names, in the way Ubuntu name releases...
"Terrible Tiger" "Limp Leopard" "Languishing Lion" and "Senile Snow Leopard"
It amuses me greatly that only in 2012 do Apple see fit to add a notification system to their desktop OS. I wonder if they'll patent it?
BTW,have you noticed that it is not call Mac anymore?
no, they will just add other bits on like rain, snow, fire, wind, blue, white, black, tall, short, fat, so you'll have sex panther, old cougar, wide puma, etc
btw is this another paid upgrade? so another £21? there are arguements over upgrade pricing, but whilst windows costs a bit for an upgrade, that's only for a major upgrade every few years, and you get umpteen updates each year, plus service packs, and the old OS can still run the latest programs in most cases, but with osx if you don't upgrade you get well left behind. not being able to use the latest itunes for example, and not being able to use the latest iphone if you don't have the latest itunes, but you don't get that issue on the windows versions. you can run the latest itunes on xp with the iphone 6s or whatever the latest model is
Surely this isn't too different to Vista increasing the minimum requirements?
I hope never, they are going in the wrong direction trying to take MacOS closer to iOS - imo it should be the other way round!
Inverting the scrolling by default with Lion was one example of their recent awful design decisions - a couple of my friends who own macs still have this enabled and it drives me mad when I go to use one of their systems..it's so illogical to scroll that way whether its on a trackpad or mouse - needs to be saved for touch screens imo.
Still sounds like a few useful features, if its another £25 upgrade I wouldn't mind updating.
The inverted scrolling was something that I changed within 15 mins, a couple of my friends really like it though, and I can see why with some people it would make more sense, but not to me.
I wonder what feature that I like they will remove this time though, with lion they removed front row, which I use quite a bit, lucky that you can put it back, though with the itunes updates you can't play music through it anymore, though that isn't why I used it anyway.
I actually thought the inverted scrolling was a bug/driver issue/virus when I first encountered it......absolutely nuts IMO.
