If it's actually £80, I think it might actually sell... Compared to a PS4 for £600...
Yeah Basic.. haha. All the useful functionality has been removed. What a rip off.
The thing is if you didn't fancy getting the Wii U, you can get a 'proper' Wii second hand for less than the Mini one on your friendly neighborhood auction site or from the ever increasing number of high street trade-in shops and save money to buy games with and have all the functionality.
lol it's not worth £50 with all the stuff they have cut from it, one Nintendo scew up after another.
I would say there is no reliability problems so getting used isn't an issue as long as you don't get a grubby one.
Waste of money, no gamecube support, no wifi, no ethernet and it's not that much smaller than a normal wii. You can easily buy a normal Wii from tesco with mario and sonic for only £89.99.
Yes I agree this is a terrible solution. If it had been HDMI, perhaps it would have sold better. The Wii U is quite impressive, as too is the 3DS - Wii Mini? It's a serious downgrade!
I bought my Wii from GAME for £40 preowned or somewhere close to that and got quite a few family/multiplayer games from Amazon second hand for not a lot more, including the cost of controllers, it probably wasn't much more than the £80 they're asking here.
No problems with my Wii at all. I think they're asking for too much for this crippled version of the Wii, especially when they're releasing it at such a late stage.
That would have been a good move a slim line Wii with HDMI on it for £80, not a lets get rid of everything save nintendo money model.
Then again i think the Wii is old news now you go in the shops there isnt many games for it and nothing new that i personally want or my son wants.
I've never looked at my Wii and thought: "Ooh, that's too big".
This is exactly the point - when its £10 more expensive to get a full Wii with a game - why on earth would anyone buy this?
If there was a £40-£50 price difference then fine - it would have a place in the market..but a £10 difference? Even if you miss out on a deal like that you can still get a normal Wii complete with plus + wii sports resort for £99 as a regular price (no special offers etc).
Weird stuff going on at Nintendo at the moment - a crippled Wii at a very strange price point, a vastly overpriced and failing new console (wii u)..very odd imo.
It looks pretty cheap and nasty doesn't it? I'm pretty sure I saw one of them at a jumble sale while I was at primary school.
