Worst investment ever. Kingston Grey 2x4 kits by two for around $80 will do nearly as much as this kit (priced around $180 I guess). Increase in any application will be minimal.

True that. Also, I am yet to see Llano board supporting those frequencies and making a good use of that.

And companies make these things because people will buy them.
G.Skill will also, most likely, see increased sales in their lower end RAM sets too. Companies make the best of the best, so they can make a good name for themselves, which then helps them shift the stuff at the lower end where the real money is made.
