    Something I've just realised, what's with the 2xSATA6 ports? It's not like it's just to up-sell you to 2011, the X79 has the same limitation...

    Intel chip sets aren't known to offer good value/specs compared to AMD's offerings. This means that motherboards will have to have a separate additional controller.

    which is one reason I have consistently bought into AMD - yes their CPU's don't perform as well as Intel offerings but my PhenomII x4 955 is still an awesome processor and handles most of what I throw it's way - At the time I built my PC I would have had to buy a dedicated Raid card to handle my Raid 5 config if I had gone with Intel wheras with AMD I have 10 SATA ports spread over two controllers. 6 ports on one controller for my Raid 5 and the other 4 have my velociraptor with Windows7, my BDD and a Raid 0 for my XP Pro install.

    I just noticed the same thing, pretty disappointing
