I might sign up only to get the extra Gmail space, only 7Gb by default.
Although I use Dropbox I don't like having to have a separate folder dedicated to the service. It means if I would like to use both Dropbox and Google Drive I'd need to have 2 copies of my files on the same drive to get them synced with both services... I think Ubuntu One is going to be my primary cloud storage solution because of the passive sync feature allowing me to have the folder structure I want not limited by an application specific folder.
I was already paying $5 a year for 20Gb picasa storage and that has been upgraded to 20 extra Gb in drive as well for no extra charge

Looks good until I upgrade or don't pay

Well it's tightly woven in with google Docs, it was just a one click for me and you're going to end up using it generally so I think Google have it made.
Looks great. I'm a heavy user of dropbox. I don't know if this Google Drive will be better but hope so xD
awesome, i have been waiting for this and it looks like Google have come up with a competitively priced alternative to dropbox - thumbs up
My Google Drive is not ready yet. Must be a delay getting the Google Tarmac (c) in.

Gmail has been updated to ~10GB for normal accounts anyway.
Sugar Sync allows you to sync any folder you goddamn please
So you only need to have 1 copy of your files on the same drive (2 defies the point of syncing!). And you still only need 1 copy if you double sync the files with sugar sync and another service such as google drive/dropbox.
here's hoping its better than skydrive loolz
